Who’d a thought it? There’s a World Happiness Day, and it’s this Saturday, 11th February!!  We’re playing our part (natch) by screening a fab looking documentary called Happy: The Movie, which travels the globe to see if there’s a Happiness Revolution in progress.  We’ll be watching alongside 600 other screenings in 60 countries and we’d LOVE a Full House, so book yourself a ticket and join us in Hamilton House at 1pm...

We were chuffed to be invited to talk at both Malago and Greenbank Women’s Institutes in the past couple of weeks, where (amongst other things) we focussed on the amazing power of gratitude to improve both physical and emotional health.

Talking of gratitude, the Ethical property Company helped us organise a meeting in the Unitarian Chapel in Brunswick Square – it’s a brilliant venue with fab facilities which we HIGHLY recommend...AND (so much to be grateful for!) we were bowled over by the wonderful Skinny Dippers, who produced a fantastic gig for our celebration event at the end of last month.  If you need a great covers band (smoke machines and all) – book ‘em!

And finally...

Happiness Habits can be learned.  They equip people to develop lasting happiness and resilience in their own lives, with the delightful side effect of positively influencing family, friends, workplaces and communities. We set out to deliver our brilliant (though we say so ourselves) programme freely to communities, but haven’t yet had any joy with our grant applications.  So can you help us, whilst helping yourselves??

We’d like to run a ‘pilot’ of this ground breaking project for about 20 people to provide the evidence which grant-makers seem to be looking for.  Besides developing the habits of a happiness-generating mindset and gaining the strength to deal better with life’s ups and downs, you’ll be helping us help others.  For full details, please e-mail info@happycity.org.uk
