Building on the success of our Easton Happiness Roadshow, Happy City volunteers worked with a huge range of local people in and around Knowle West to stage a 2 week rolling Happyfest in the area.

Knowle West, Filwood, Inns Court, are all alive with inspirational people, places and projects.  It was an honour to spend much of early 2011 moving amongst these groups, learning from all we met about what Happiness means to them and what activities and ideas in the area are growing happiness day in day out across the community.  

We held drop in sessions in Filwood Centre, The Mede, Knowle West Media Centre and The Park - all truly extraordinary community buildings offering amazing range of opportunities for people of all ages.  We put together a programe of events and activities to shine a spotlight on just a few of that range of activities - from health to the environment, outdoor play to job seeking, keeping fit to feeding hobbies.  There was much to be learned, shared and celebrated.

The resulting fortnight was a celebration of all things positive in Knowle West and our continuing involvement with many of the projects is ensuring we keep getting opportunities to share the wisdom from the people of that area with the rest of the city.
