The Happy City Crew were welcomed into the heart of the Easton area of North Bristol in Autumn 2010 for the first of our Happy City Local Festivals.  As we spent time exploring the area with local volunteers, the number of inspiring projects we found was incredible.  The place is teaming with people and projects that are supporting community happiness in hundreds of different ways.  There is so much to be learned, shared and celebrated that it was hard to limit it to a series of events for our roadshow festival.  

The resulting week was a celebration of all things positive in Easton.  We had a full time base at the wonderful Easton Community Centre, where we invited everyone to share their wisdom on THEIR INGREDIENTS FOR HAPPINESS (see the results here), the BEST THINGS IN EASTON that are building happiness (see the Happiness Bank for more details), their TOP TIPS for HAPPINESS, and their personal PLEDGES for what small steps they can do to increase happiness around them.

We had events on music, art, faith and food.  There were workshops on happiness habits, positive media and cross cultural happiness wisdom.  People from babies to octogenarians joined in the fun, and people from over a dozen faiths and countries shared their insights.  Many of the activities are ongoing and some were on offs.
