Call for pioneering changemakers

Happiness is a hot topic in business, politics and society right now, and gradually people are beginning to understand that happiness is far more than an aspiration or a benign state of mind.

Community Voice Background

The Happy City team have seen time and time again that every community, every city has the people, ideas, resources and solutions to solve all their problems, but most of those things remain unseen, un-celebrated and the learning lost.  The Community Voices pilot aims to prove the case for a sustainable hub of citizens journalism to help the voices of change to be heard, the examples of replicable solutions to be shared, and the stories of inspiration and opportunity to be aired as widely as possible.

We love the look of Ecomodo, which was recommended to us earlier this week. We’ll set up a lending circle for our library in order to share the happiness far and wide!  If you’ve got some ‘must read’ titles which relate to happiness sitting at home, why not lend them to us, so we can lend them to others?

This is the fourth of our Happiness Basic Training sessions, which looks at our connections and the ways in which small individual actions can quickly add up to powerful change. With some subtle shifts to the way we view things, you'll soon see how many oportunities to increase happiness present themselves every day, and how  the apparently impossible can become comfortably achievable.
